Viva Kaltenbach!

Hello again all,

We continue to have excellent skiing conditions, with little cloud and plenty of glorious sunshine to warm us on the slopes. We have lots and lots of photos to document our adventures today, so let's dive right in!

Mawgan receiving the Helmet Cover of Shame from Cameron, the previous owner. We were all wondering why we were missing two girls for our evening meal last night - while Mawgan herself was on time, in her haste to get downstairs she locked two of her room mates inside on her way out. They were rescued when they caught the attention of Roddie and Phil, our coach drivers, by yelling from the balcony! Well done, Mawgan!

Now for a first - the première appearance of our International Divvy Of The Day Vest, for our ski rep, Sarah. She forgot she had our lunch vouchers in her bag, and when called she was on the other side of the mountain. 30 minutes later she slid to a stop, breathless, at the restaurant to find that our Head Ski Instructor Bernie had negotiated our lunches without the need for them. Never mind, Sarah -wear it with pride!

A selection of shots from the top of the gondola this morning of the various skiing groups. Can you spot your little darling\horror?

Isaac's expression communicates how we have all felt en piste for the last few days.

The boys at the summit, preparing for....

SNOWBALL APOCALYPSE!

Miss B enjoying a hot chocolate after a hard morning riding the gondola.

Sunny skies and sunny expressions - it's been a great few days.

Theo and Libby, shooting past down towards the 'Blue Z' run. By the time I had put away the camera and collected my skis and poles, I couldn't get down the mountain fast enough to catch them! Their group
 has all made extraordinary progress.

Miss B, after the Beginner groups has scooted past - the pride on her face is evident.

Isobel leading the way down the Half Pipe Of Doom.

Bernie and the Crazy Gang, up at the Ice Hotel - a bizzare and impressive spot.

This shot gives a great impression of just how much piste we have to ourselves up here. Often, these massive runs only have our groups on them. The amount of space afforded is a huge plus, and we have all taken advantage of such luxurious skiing conditions.

Emily trying to occupy as much piste as humanly possible.

Some of Olivia's enviously artistic shots - they would surely not be out of place in a sporting magazine.

Another staff winner! Mr. Hird narrowly escaped from the jaws of hell today, and ended up in a hundred metre slide down the mountain. Rumours still abound that the icy, bony hand of Death himself grazed the back of his jacket as he plummeted down the slope. The Helmet Cover Of Shame is his for the next twenty four hours.

Tia and Emily after seeing Mr. Hird's enormous crash - they laughed so hard they fell over. They are all heart.

Pizza time! Highlights included pickled jalapenos, extra hot chilli flakes and a Hawaiian pizza with sliced peaches on it. No, we don't get it, either.

Tomorrow is race day, and so we will be bussing over to Hochfugen rather than Kaltenbach in the morning. After our second to last ski day we are going to enjoy our Fancy Dress Disco.

I am starting to run out of different ways to sign off every night, and so I will try something a little different for this post:
